Clock Re-do!

I have been so busy lately with my move, job hunting, etc. that I have not had as much crafting time as I need! Crafting is my stress relief. It relaxes me. And it makes me take my mind off of everything else going on. Yesterday, instead of doing the other thousand things that I needed to be doing, I decided to devote most of my day to my hobby. And I want to share with you one of the things that I did.

I found this clock at Target that was originally $3.99 but on clearance for $1.60: 

Plain and boring right?!?

I have been wanting a clock to hang on the wall in my craft room and I couldn't resist this price so I got to thinking...

This is what I came up with:

Fabric look familiar? I'm pretty much obsessed with this fabric!


Now it hangs proudly on the wall in my craft room above a shelf:

My House Series---Living Room!

Because y'all are being so patient...

(note: IGNORE the dirty mirror, I cleaned it after seeing this. Yikes! hah) 

The tall ceiling and window is my favorite part about this room!

 (I'm working on getting a large area rug for the center of the room. Any suggestions on good places to get large rugs for decent prices? I've been browsing but have yet to find a perfect one in a decent price range. Any suggestions appreciated!)

My House Series---Kitchen!

So many of you have been asking to see pictures of my house in Myrtle Beach. I have been putting it off because there are still sooo many things I want to do with it before I show it off. But, because I love you all so much, I figured I would show you a room or two a day for the next week or so. 

So here is the kitchen...(note: I am not completely done decorating any of the rooms yet, there are still many work-in-progresses and things to be done, but at least you can get somewhat of an idea how it is coming along as of now.) 

 One side of the kitchen...I love the openness of it!

 Our "bar" and bar stools. I had to fine SOME way to make use of my stools! (This island used to be in the center of room, but I like it over here better to make use of this huge bare wall and to open the kitchen up some.)

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

Today, the most amazing animal I have ever had the priveledge of getting to know and love turns 2. 

I still remember the day we (Steven & I) met her. It was a perfect, sunny day. We drove out to the middle of nowhere and were introduced to four adorable black lab puppies. Little did we know we would be falling in love right there on the spot. I asked Steven, "which one do you want?" He immediately pointed to her and said "that one!" Although they were all so cute and I would have loved taking any of them home, I had my eyes mostly on her and was ecstatic that Steven did as well. 

She first caught our attention because she was by far the smallest. The cute little runt. And man she had a personality! She was the most captivated by us and all she wanted was our love in return! And she sure did get it.

She has not left one of our sides since the day we got her. I miss her every time I am not around her. She is our best friend and we can always count on her. She is our protector. And best of all, she is an INCREDIBLE cuddler! :) 

I love our days at the river walk, trips to the beach, jogs around the neighborhood, nights cuddling on the couch, car rides and doggie dates. I can always count on her to help me finish my meals, keep me company when I am lonely, make me feel safe and protected in any situation, and force my lazy self to take daily walks and runs. 

I love you Brooklyn and I can not wait for many, many more years together!

There's no doubt she knows what teams to pull for!

And she just LOVES her play dates!

We have been through some rough times...but hey, that's life!
