To my mother...

I thought today would be a perfect day to devote an entire post to my amazing mother. Words can not express how thankful I am that I have a mother who is by far the most caring, honest, giving, nurturing, patient, unconditional loving, beautiful woman I have ever known. I do not tell her enough how appreciative I am of everything she has done for me throughout my life. I am who I am today because of her and I strive to be a better person, just like her. I hope to one day be HALF the mom she has been to me.

Clock Re-do!

I have been so busy lately with my move, job hunting, etc. that I have not had as much crafting time as I need! Crafting is my stress relief. It relaxes me. And it makes me take my mind off of everything else going on. Yesterday, instead of doing the other thousand things that I needed to be doing, I decided to devote most of my day to my hobby. And I want to share with you one of the things that I did.

I found this clock at Target that was originally $3.99 but on clearance for $1.60: 

Plain and boring right?!?

I have been wanting a clock to hang on the wall in my craft room and I couldn't resist this price so I got to thinking...

This is what I came up with:

Fabric look familiar? I'm pretty much obsessed with this fabric!


Now it hangs proudly on the wall in my craft room above a shelf:

My House Series---Living Room!

Because y'all are being so patient...

(note: IGNORE the dirty mirror, I cleaned it after seeing this. Yikes! hah) 

The tall ceiling and window is my favorite part about this room!

 (I'm working on getting a large area rug for the center of the room. Any suggestions on good places to get large rugs for decent prices? I've been browsing but have yet to find a perfect one in a decent price range. Any suggestions appreciated!)

My House Series---Kitchen!

So many of you have been asking to see pictures of my house in Myrtle Beach. I have been putting it off because there are still sooo many things I want to do with it before I show it off. But, because I love you all so much, I figured I would show you a room or two a day for the next week or so. 

So here is the kitchen...(note: I am not completely done decorating any of the rooms yet, there are still many work-in-progresses and things to be done, but at least you can get somewhat of an idea how it is coming along as of now.) 

 One side of the kitchen...I love the openness of it!

 Our "bar" and bar stools. I had to fine SOME way to make use of my stools! (This island used to be in the center of room, but I like it over here better to make use of this huge bare wall and to open the kitchen up some.)
